Brake Types Fail Safe Brake: Shaft locks when power is off, ensuring a precise stop and quick braking action, securing sudden interventions in case of power supply failure (black-out, equipment failure).
The braking action is obtained without axial sliding of the shaft and provides equal braking torque in both directions.
Normally Off Type Brake: Shaft locks when the power supply is on, helping stop the machine in emergency situations.
Range of Production Three Phase Brake Motor: 0.25 to 30 Hp (0.18 to 22 KW), Frame 63 to 180L in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 Pole
Mounting Type Foot (B3), Flange (B5), Face (B14)
Frame Robust, rugged cast iron frame with integral feet. Aluminum body available up to 100 L frame on request.
Insulation Class F insulation as standard. Class H available on request.

Protection Ingress Protection (IP) 44 as defined in IS: 4691. Available with IP-54 and IP-55 on request.
Shaft & Rotor Positive locking with Shaft key joint, made from En-8 or En-9 material. Rotors are high-pressure E.C. grade aluminum die-cast and dynamically balanced for low vibration and noise.
Bearings & Lubrication C3 ball bearings with lithium-based grease for high-temperature lubrication up to 150°C.
Thermal Overload Protection Available on demand for additional protection from overload.
Terminal Box Terminal box on top for Foot mounted (B3). Other positions (left or right) available on request.
Earthing Terminals Minimum two earthing terminals (one in terminal box and one at foot).
Application Suitable for use with lifting machinery, textile machinery, geared motors, cable reeling drums, rolling mills, machine tools, etc.
